At Yellow House Publishing, gratitude runs deep. We’re honoured that the legendary author and playwright Dermot Bolger has generously supported and contributed to New Isles Press Issue 5, our forthcoming anthology of poems and short stories. His voice brings a richness and resonance we are truly proud to share.
But that’s not all...

We’re just as excited to shine a spotlight on an emerging force in Irish literature. We’re delighted to announce the publication of Anything Strange or Startling by Tony Black, his dazzling debut short story collection. With a striking cover art by Joel Simon, this book promises to introduce readers to a bold, fresh talent.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the vision and guidance of our Editor-in-Chief, Dr Artur Broomfield, whose commitment has helped shape this project from its earliest stages.

And here’s more good news our next call for submissions opens on 1st October and runs until 7th November. We’re eager to discover new and established voices for New Isles Press Issue 5, drawing on the best of writing in English, Irish, and Ulster Scots.

Based on our experience with previous issues, we’re confident this will be another lively, eclectic collection one that celebrates the diversity and vitality of contemporary writing. So, sharpen your pencils (or fire up your laptops!) we can’t wait to read what you’ve been creating.
