Followed the setting up of Thomas Carnduff Appreciation Society (Shipyard poet) Yard Sessions open mic was established in 2019, providing a free poetry platform in Inner East Belfast for all. After a two year break because of lockdown rules Yard Sessions are now getting back up and running with the support of EastSide Visitor Centre. Over the two year gap much work has been achieved by individual volunteers. Yellow House Publishing Ltd along with Turas Gaelic language Centre East Belfast are working together on a new poetry and short story journal Spring 2023 with a section dedicated to our shared Gaelic language heritage across these Isles. Yard Sessions is a key hub in the work of the new journal and in supporting new and established writers not only in East Belfast but across our diverse communities.
